The Artist
Lorna Bluestein, the owner and artist behind Art in the Cape, has a rich background in fine arts education. She earned her BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University and has lived in multiple states throughout her career.
After beginning her professional life in Massachusetts as a retail manager, Bluestein relocated to Colorado where she spent two decades raising her family and teaching preschool. In 2014, she moved to Florida to be closer to relatives and began teaching high school art, including AP Art. This teaching experience reignited her passion for art and inspired her to establish her own studio.
"My objective is to teach a variety of art styles and techniques to all ages and to inspire those who wish to learn while relaxing in an enjoyable environment."
Find Us at the Farmers Market
From fall through spring, catch Art in the Cape at the Cape Coral Farmers Market in Club Square, downtown Cape Coral — every other Saturday, 8 AM–1 PM. Stop by our booth to shop handmade art and say hello (check the schedule for dates).
